NIHL, a Chicagoland hockey league and once the largest Tier II league in the country, needed a new website that could manage the complexity of each season across 50+ clubs and 250+ teams of varying ages and levels. We worked with NIHL to create a custom online platform that gave league administrators the tools to build and manage seasons through a robust dashboard, including a scheduling algorithm tailored to the league’s unique rules. Team administrators could access their schedules, manage home games, and enter scores, while a flexible bracket system helped run end-of-season tournaments in a variety of formats. Since most users would be accessing the site from the rink, mobile usability was a major priority.
